A Night for All Yinzers

Pittsburgher, Yinzer, the black and gold—whatever you call them, Pittsburgh fans are simply the best. This year, we celebrated them and everything that makes this city extraordinary on Pittsburgh Night. And trust me, I wasn’t doing it alone—I assembled a dream team to help me make it unforgettable.

Joining me was Chance Humphrey of @KeepPittsburghDope, returning for another round of co-hosting magic. But we didn’t stop there. Pittsburgh Pirates On-Field Hosts Joe Klimchak and Debbie Becker-Bender brought their game-day energy, and my good friend and host of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Kyle Archer, joined in as well. It felt like the Avengers of Pittsburgh in-game hosts had come together for one epic night of fun.

And what’s a celebration of Pittsburgh without mascots? We had a mascot takeover, with representatives from every Pittsburgh sports team, college and pro, engaging with fans and spreading the Yinzer spirit.

Pittsburgh is a city that surprises you. Coming from Queens, New York, I’ll admit I had my preconceived notions—visions of gold towels and steel stacks. But when I arrived, I discovered something far greater. Yes, Pittsburghers love waving their towels, but they also embrace a strong, blue-collar ethos—the “Yinzer Way.”

This is a city that refuses to be limited by its geography. It has conquered its topography with bridges, tunnels, and inclines, connecting the three rivers and their surrounding lands. It’s a place where the architecture is as stunning as the landscape, and the people are the heartbeat of it all.

Thank you, Pittsburgh, for being more than I ever expected—and for being exactly what the world needs
