Stars, Strikes, and Sips: Brewing Up Fourth of July Fun
Fourth of July weekend is one of the marquee events of the year for any minor league baseball team. Fans from all over their towns and cities flock to the ballpark, not just for the game but for the spectacular fireworks displays that light up the night sky in celebration of our nation’s independence.
In Binghamton, we took it to another level. A sold-out crowd packed Mirabito Stadium to witness what was easily the best fireworks display in the Southern Tier. The crack of bats and the sizzle of fireworks created an atmosphere of pure Americana, as fans of all ages soaked in the magic of Red, White, and “Brew” weekend.
The weekend wasn’t just about the show in the sky, though. Special deals on adult beverages ensured the crowd was well-lubricated, adding to the festive vibe. The energy in the ballpark was electric, and it was truly a night to remember.
What made this weekend even more special was being joined by the returning Rheanna Decrow, the host of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. When the two of us teamed up, it felt like two megastars combining forces to deliver non-stop fun and entertainment for the crowd. Rhea’s talent and passion for this industry are undeniable. Having attended Ithaca College together, I had a front-row seat to her meteoric rise. From the moment she stepped on campus, it was clear she was ahead of her time—poised to become one of the next big names in sports media.
I’m incredibly proud of Rhea and cherish our friendship. Her ability to engage with the crowd and light up a room is unparalleled, and I can’t wait to see where her career takes her. Sharing this weekend with her was not only fun but a reminder of how far we’ve both come since our days at IC.
Red, White, and Brew weekend was the perfect combination of fireworks, baseball, and camaraderie. To everyone who joined us, thank you for making it such a special event. Let’s keep celebrating the moments that bring us together, on and off the field.
