A Spooky Night In Pittsburgh
The Halloween spirit was in full swing on October 30th, 2023, as the Pittsburgh Penguins faced off against the Anaheim Ducks at the iconic PPG Paints Arena. But this wasn't just any regular game night; it was the highly anticipated Penguins Halloween Celebration, where fans were encouraged to don their best costumes and join in the ghoulish fun.
I had the pleasure of witnessing the excitement firsthand. But instead of sticking to just one costume, I decided to up the ante and embody four different versions of Ken from Barbie, drawing inspiration from the summer's hit Barbie movie. From Ken in a Box to Roller Skating Ken, Cowboy Ken, and even a Ken hoodie that proudly proclaimed "I am Kenough," each outfit added to the festive atmosphere of the night.
I wasn't the only one getting into the spirit of things. The fans came ready as they were decked out in creative and spooky costumes, adding an extra layer of entertainment to an already fun night. With prizes generously provided by local favorites like Milkshake Factory and autographed jerseys from Penguins players up for grabs throughout the evening, the excitement was palpable.
One of the highlights of the evening was the Halloween dance party held on the Highmark stage, where fans of all ages came together to boogie down to Halloween-themed music. With hundreds of people joining in the festivities, the stage was transformed into a lively and vibrant party scene, making it a night to remember.
Iceburgh, who stole the show with his larger-than-life Taylor Swift costume. Dressed as a massive Swiftie fan, Iceburgh had fans cheering and laughing as he strutted around the arena.
